Dr Prasad is exactly what one wants in a specialist. A top expert, great communicator, can always make room for a patient if there's a situation and a well-run office. He's recommended by top internists as the go-to in Manhattan and, on top of it all, is a genuinely nice guy and very engaged in public health matters so is interesting to talk to. If he covers what ails you, do not hesitate one second to see him.
After years of being treated for asthma by local doctors on Long Island, my family doctor recommended that I got to Manhattan and find top doctors in a medical school. ultimately, this led me to Dr. Prasad. I can't say too much about this doctor. He listens to what you say, and makes his own evaluation. He is very conservative about surgery, and ultimately he did recommend sinus surgury for me. He uses the latest equipment and as a professor in Cornell Medical School, is up on the latest technologies. There is such a world of difference between Dr. Prasad and all the other ENTs I have seen over my life.
Not only is Dr. Prasad a first rate doctor, his office is run like a fine tuned Rolex. His staff are both efficient and friendly. Appointments are on time, with virtually no waiting. And Dr. Prasad's disscussion with me are always clear and undersrtandable. In all, in you have chronic sinus issues, this is the doctor to see.
I have been seeing Dr. Prasad for three years, since I had a massive ear infection that threatened to end my career as a travel writer. Every step of the way he has taken cautious, small steps to avoid surgery and has been incredibly responsive.
For example, I had a bad sinus infection that did not seem to go away almost all winter. Understanding that parents of young children are far more susceptible to frequent illnesses, we treated it but decided to wait until my daughter was 6. Just as predicted, I was sick much less often when she turned 6, and so avoided surgery.
When I would leave a message, I would get a call back within hours, even if he was on vacation. He listens and spends the time needed with you to truly understand your needs.

Dr. Prasad changed my life - literally. Because of constant sinus infections, I was on a 10 day regime of antibiotics once a month for almost a year. I was unable to travel without getting sick, and had daily headaches / dizziness. I finally made an appointment with Dr. Prasad and am so glad I did. He is extremely competent, and very friendly.
